Role

The Scheduling Specialist will be performing outbound calls to provided leads that are interested in solar energy. As the first point of contact with future clients, the candidate will ensure a professional and customer centered experience. By collecting and confirming required information, the individual will schedule appointments for our Solar Design Consultants.The details of the Scheduling Specialist position are as follows:

● Part-time, incentive based position with potential for future full-time employment
● $13-17 an hour starting pay, dependent on experience
● Additional bonus compensation after 90 days of employment
● Shifts on evenings and Saturdays
● The corporate office is located in Kansas City

Responsibilities

● Execute outbound phone calls to leads interested in solar energy (no cold calling)
● Build rapport and set appointments for solar consultations
● Ensure quality of appointments meet the standards set by the organization
● Use rebuttals to overcome objections during the appointment setting process
● Input and maintain all client communication in company database

Requirements

Solar Design Consultant

Role

As a Solar Design Consultant, you will work directly with our clients to create unique energy solutions for the client’s needs. All leads are provided and prequalified, and all appointments are pre-set. Responsibilities

● Attend pre-set appointments in client homes
● Advise clients of financial and environmental benefits of choosing solar

● Acquire all necessary signed documents upon closing
● Log client communications in contact database
● Attend weekly sales meetings

Requirements

The ideal candidate is someone with an entrepreneurial spirit; a highly confident, persistent person who is self motivated and able to work independently. The individual must have integrity and be reliable, as well as possess great organizational, communication, and customer service skills. In addition to this, the candidate must: 

● Have a valid state driver’s license
● Have reliable transportation
● Be available to travel several times per week

Solar Installer

Role

The Solar Installer will be part of Shinnova Solar’s Field team. As an integral member of the team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively with other team members to successfully complete the installation of residential PV solar systems safely and timely. It is the responsibility of every Installer to ensure safe work practices for Shinnova’s installation team. The details of the Solar Installer position are as follows:

Responsibilities

● Layout, assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
● Assist with the electrical wiring of the solar array
● Prepare and clean-up job site
● Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, installation
methodology, and safety
● Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the process
● Additional duties required as needed

Requirements

● Roof work, general construction, or carpentry experience strongly preferred
● Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel
boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
● Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
● Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs; and
performing repetitive duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
● Experience using basic hand and power tools
● Basic computer skills preferred
● Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Must have excellent customer service skills
● Must have a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
● Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success
● Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Master Electrician/Territory Supervisor

The candidate should have solid skills in troubleshooting and a good knowledge of proper electrical installations. Responsibilities

  • Review plans and drawings to ensure that the project is built according to design and code
  • Work with crew members to complete projects according to the established policies and procedures
  • Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment
  • Set up a solar monitoring system
  • Acquire permit from the city
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
  • Effectively communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering their questions and concerns to the best of your ability

Requirements

  • Current IA Master Electrician’s License
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Hard-working attitude

  • Previous experience working on residential and commercial solar systems is a plus!
